Support units in Poland's local government administration system

Local authorities in Poland comprise a three-tier system: municipal, poviat and provincial, whereas local government bodies at lower levels do not report in any way to bodies placed at the top, there are no structural dependencies between them, and their duties are distributed strictly as stipulated in relevant laws.
