Electroluminescent properties of 6-N,N-diarylsubstituted-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]quinolines as light emitting diode chromophore

In this paper we applied 1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]quinolines substituted with arylamine moiety as dopants in poly(9-N-vinylcarbazole) PVK matrix which serves as hole transporting material for light emitting diodes. The study of electroluminescence is performed for 1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]quinolines derivatives for chromophore possessing different ground state dipole moments. Correlation between the values of these dipole moments and the output EL is explored. Role of dipole–dipole (chromophore–polymer interaction is explored). For this reason quantum chemical calculations of the ground state dipole were performed.
