The application of terrestrial laser scanning in manor and park complex inventory

Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) is a cutting edge measuring method allowing for automatic acquisition of spatial observations in the form of point cloud transferring entire scanning area into the virtual space. The given article, by the example of a part of Park Duchackiego in Krakow, research over the possibility of applying point cloud in manor and park complex inventory is presented. Effectiveness evaluation of the TLS technology in inventory measurements was performed on the basis of comparative analysis of the outcomes obtained on point cloud with the data obtained by means of conventional methods. The obtained results confirmed the reliability of terrestrial laser scanning in manor and park complex inventory in geodetic, dendrological and architectural terms.
