System of local government finance unit in Poland

Abstract

The article presents the system of financing local government in Poland. Three basic groups of government revenue: own revenues, grants and subsidies were presented. The diversity of the different sources of income due to the level of local government was indicated. Also the types of local taxes and their importance for local finance was shown.
