AbstractThe main objective of animal nutrition in organic farms is to ensure high product quality rather than to maximize production. Goat feeding is similar to the feeding of other ruminants, but goats consume many feeds that are not suitable for feeding to other farm animals. Pasture sward is the best fodder for goats. It is easily digested, lactogenic and rich in nutrients. Goats selectively consume pasture plants, which may lead to unused feed. It is therefore advisable to make frequent checks by observing the yields, botanical composition and the extent of pasture use. Recent years have witnessed growing interest in goat milk due to increased interest in ecology, agritourism and health-promoting foods. The substances in pasture sward (vitamins, aromatic volatiles, biologically active compounds, minerals) have a beneficial effect on milk quality and taste. Research shows that the milk of pastured goats is characterized by a more beneficial profile of fatty acids, higher content of vitamins, amino acids and anti-inflammatory antioxidants, including bioflavonoids and phytosterols, phenolic compounds and terpenes, xanthophylls, retinol and .-tocopherol
