AbstractStandardising the time necessary to complete specific tasks is among the key parameters of the technical and technological streamlining of work areas. While the basic goal of standardisation is the identification of work time consumption realistic in specific conditions, the results of such research can also be used in analyses of threats posed by work areas. Worktime standardisation is based on measuring effective and auxiliary times. Auxiliary time is spent in relation with activities leading to completion of the major task. Supplementary times are estimated based on the measured time categories including the time of job service as well as the time for preparation and completion. The goal of this article is to develop a system of adjusting the supplementary time category as observed in work areas related to logging and timber skidding based on the Supplementary Times Standards (STS). The ratio will be calculated as the sum of partial coefficients; their significance will be reflected in attributed and proportionate weighting. The reference level together with a model share of supplementary times will be determined for areas with optimum (favourable) conditions of logging and timber skidding. Forest divisions will be the smallest administrative units for which the STS ratios will be calculated. As a result of grouping forest divisions sharing similar ratio values, we plan to identify regions of similar logging and timber skidding conditions.
