Influence of spatial data interpolation method on visualization and image generalization of the diversity of selected parameters important in the agricultural production process
AbstractThe work determined the effect of using different interpolation methods of spatial data on the generalization of spatial image map of selected operating parameters concerning a machine unit, i.e. skid and fuel consumption. The scope of work included the measurement of selected operating parameters during field study conducted within field of the area equal to 30 ha, complete with an indication of geographical coordinates at the time of subsoiling stubble. Deterministic and stochastic interpolation maps of the spatial distribution of measured values submitted for analysis the impact of the selection of interpolating algorithm on spatial visualization of their volatility. Obtained results were compared with maps constructed by alternative method for interpolation, consisting in determining the statistical average value of the data size for the trial of the immediate neighborhood. It was noted that the best results will give the method of ordinary kriging interpolation. However, some other methods, especially IDW method allows for quite correct mapping of spatial measured values.
