Wybrane właściwości gleb świerczyn w Beskidzie zachodnim po roku od nawożenia dolomitem, magnezytem i serpentynitem

AbstractExperim ental plots were established in the W estern B eskidy Mts. on two nappes (W isła and U jsoły) differing in lithology in order to study the influence o f slow ly acting m agnesium fertilizers on the grow th condition o f trees. The aim o f the research was testing the soil properties one year after fertilization with dolom ite, m agnesite and serpentinite. D olom ite and m agnesite fertilization o f the soils caused positive changes o f the physical and chem ical soil properties linked w ith liming. However, a potential threat o f surface w ater contam ination by nitrates was docum ented. Facts noted one year after serpentinite fertilization included: significant increase o f the m agnesium content in the soils, slight im provem ent o f soil properties linked w ith liming, stability o f m icrobiological and enzym atic activity, as well as nitrogen m ineralization. The effects o f fertilization were observed in the soil properties up to horizon B; a w ider range of changes was noted on the plots in Wisła, whereas a smaller one on the plots in Ujsoły.
