Greenhouse production of adapted calamine Dianthus carthusianorum ecotype

Plant species tolerant to high concentration of heavy metals are valuable material which can be directly use on certain types of degraded areas. IN the present study, it was raised the possibility of hreenhouse year-round production of Dianthus carthusianorum, significant calamine ecotype useful for reclamation of post-flotation wastes in the region. The seed germination ability was assessed on different substrate types. Growth and development of obtained seedlings, and fully developed plantwere evaluated. The success of cultivation did not depend on the type of used substrate. However, the higher values of evaluated biometric features were obtained in plants grown in specific type of paticulary prepared substrate.
