Abstract

Mycological studies carried out In the period 1988-_1990 on initial soil of the "MachOw" dumping ground covered s fields differentiates with regard to the method and period of the reclamation use. In the course of a 3-year investigation 11.981 colonies of soil fungi of 160 species were isolated. Raw soils of the dumping ground were mycologically very poor and the communities of fungi which colonized them showed a tendency to increasing entropy. At a later period, with an approximating climaX, there occurred their stabilization. The dynamics of colonization and changes in the composition of fungal communities in the reclamated initial soil were distinctly correlated with the length of the cutivation period, the crop, and the content of organic matter in the soil. With the progress of soil building processes in the initial soil of the dumping ground areas reclamated for agricultural use the communities of soil fungi resembled the communities of agricultural soils, also with regard to pathogen accumulation. The succession of soil fungi in the reclamated dumping grounds reflects changes occurring in the environment of very compact initial soils and may be used as indicator of gaining traits of fertility bye them.
