Wpływ wazotocyny i prostaglandyny E1 na kurczliwość jajowodu ptaków

The purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of vasotocin /A1IT/ and prostaglandin E1 /My on the hen uterus contractility by in vitro and in vivo methods. Experiments were also performed on the uterus of immature pullets which had received prolonged treatment with steroids /estradiol, progesterone, testosterone/. In addition the effect of indomethacin an inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis, on uterus contractility in vitro and the presence of prostaglandins in the uterus were also evaluated. Following results were obtained: 1. AVT and POE1 produced contractions of the uterine strips from immature hens. 2. After progesterone /P/ and testosterone /T/ treatment the sensitivity to AVT and POE1 decreases. Estradiol /E/ treatment enhanced the uterine response to AVT. Combinations of E + T and E + T + P increased the uterine response to AVT and PGEl. 3. The uterine strips isolated from laying hens were very responsi¬ve to the stimulatory effects of AVT and PGE1. AVT, however was more potent. 4. The response of the hen uterus to AVT and PGE1 varied during eggloying cycle. The tissues from the hens with no egg in uterus were approximately 8 and 10 times more sensitive to AVT and PGE1 respectively, than those from the hems at the time of oviposition. 5. Towards the end of the egg cycle, 2 to 3 hr before oviposition, injections of AVT and PGE1 caused expulsion of eggs within a few minutes. 6. AVT in dose 0,1 μg/kg and PGE1 in doses 0,5 and 1,0 μg/kg increased the intrauterine pressure. 7. Indomethacin, antagonized in vitro the contractor activity of AVT but not that of PGE1. 8. Prostaglandin activity was demonstrated in the hen uterine tissue at the time of oviposition. 9. It is concluded that both AVT and PGE1 play a physiological role in the regulation of oviposition. AVT may cause uterine contractions via a prostaglandin activated machanism.
