AbstractThe paper presents a model method of vibrations hazard analysis in technological logging process. Basing on approximation models of the density distribution probability functions, hazard conditions dependence on work technique factors and technology of logging process have been described. Only the factors not fully recognized so far and having a direct connection with vibration hazards during logging have been analysed in the investigation. Types of chainsaws, their construction i.e. number of points by means of which vibrations are transfered on cutter's hands, operations applied in technological process, work technique and depth gauge heels of the chain, which is one of many factors of a sawing device preparation to work, have been considered. Two types of chainsaws have been used to analyse health hazard: a common Polish chainsaw of medium power type PS-180 and a small power chainsaw of 444 liusquvarna type. The investigation included a short wood system (SWS) in one-man felling and cross-cutting in the mountain forest final crop (LG). A measurement-analytical research of mechanical vibration has been performed by means of precise Briiel and Kjaer equipment connected with PC. The presented method of analysis of technological logging process as a probability model of vibration hazard conditions enables a fuller explanation of cutter's vibrations hazard during logging. The estimated one and multidimensional no-hazard functions approximate a definite model of vibrations hazard conditions on a high level of probability. It has been proved that the analysed technological logging factors differentiate the levels of cutler's vibrations hazard. Therefore no constant levels of vibration hazard occur during logging. Function dependences that describe a model of hazard conditions are of a great cognitive value, being also very useful, which enables a practical definition of vibrations hazard during logging. The worked out model can also be used in other technological processes, with other analysis factors.
