Czynniki rozwoju produkcji rolniczej w drobnych gospodarstwach ludności dwuzawodowej
AbstractThe survey an the factors of the development of the agricultural production in the small farms of bi-professional population was carried in the south-east Poland according to the inquiry sheets. The test was provided in 574 accidentally picked out farms of area between 0,5 - 5 ha of arable land from ten communes in kieleckie, krakowskie, nowosadeckie and tarnowskie voivadeships i,e. 5 % of tested collectivity. Collected materials have been examined according to the sociopro¬fessional character of a family: a - both users a farm work out of a farm b - one of the spouses works entirely on a farm c - only other members of a family work out of a farm d - the whole family work only on a farm. Additionaly those groups were specified by area of arable land, soil quality, the level of intensity, the index of soil productivity, the labour productivity also the age and education of the main user of a farm. There was average 56 units of full employment per 100 ha of arable land, despite it in the opinion of many respondents they were shorthanded. During the years 1976-86 the employment increased (average in the test - 8,3 %) but even more increased the number of persons working outside of agriculture. Because of that the index of agricultural pro¬fessional activity reduced from 0,56 to 0,50. The deficiency of industrial means of production is the main reason of lower economic efficiency and specially of lower working capacity. The farms which are in possesion of a tractor achieve higher soil productivity by 26 % and much better working capacity (by 64 %), higher by 70 % commercial production out of 1 ha of arable land and double higher commercial production per one unit of full employment in compa¬rison with farms without the own tractors (there is about 30 N of them). Still worse is the situation of the technical equipment. The shortage in mechanization is completed in a little part by the tractors and machines of own construction (specially in piedemont). Land productivity in the tested area (average 39 crop units per 1 ha of arable land/ is high but there are farms with more than 60 crop units per 1 ha. Contrary to the land productivity the working capacity in the analysed farms (average 97 crop units per 1 fully employed) could be estimated as very low but in the respondent's opinion the problem does not look so explicit. The farm's part in food supply of the bi-professional families according to the respondents is still high. Independently of that part - commercial production can be significant in completing the non-agricultural income of the family. Findings confirm opinion that Pi-professionalism in tested population determines its character at the present moment and in the future. In the present circumstances of the density of population and mostly very small area of the farms some way of earning outside of agricultu¬re is essential for, supplement the agricultural income of the family.
